This turmeric smoothie is like sunshine in a glass!! It makes you feel good from the inside out. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric which has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. Studies shows turmeric increases levels of a protein that helps the immune system fight off bacteria and viruses. It’s also a good source of manganese and potassium. Cheers to this anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting smoothie!
Ingredients:
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 lemon, with peel
- 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh turmeric root
- 10 raw almonds
- 2 tbsp. sweeteners of your choice (swerve, stevia, erythritol, xylitol, inulin, monkfruit)
- ¼ cup canned coconut milk
- ½ tsp. orange extract
- 2 cups cold filtered water
Instructions:
- Place all the ingredients into your high-speed blender and blend for around 30-45 seconds or until nice and smooth. If you don’t have a very powerful blender, you might want to chop the carrot and lemon into small pieces to increase your chances of them blending up well.
- Pour into serving glass and serve…Enjoy!!!
